Shoreline Management Plan 2 consultation report document now online

The North West England and North Wales Coastal group held a public consultation earlier this year about how the region’s shoreline would be managed over the next 100 years. We set out proposed policies for individual areas and invited the public to comment on these.

We have written a report detailing all the consultation responses that were received and our comment on these responses. You can find the report by using the Shoreline Management Plan 2 menu above.

We are currently amending the draft SMP2 to take into consideration changes as a result of the consultation. Once finished, this will go to local Authority councillors and the Environment Agency in the Autumn to be signed off.
